Before I even begin this post, I need to point out that I am definitely not a fashion expert! I am a working- stay at home mom, the in house doctor, the home schooler, the chef, the story teller, the sock finder, activity manager, orange peeler…this list could get very long lol! Somewhere in the past 2 years of my life I have managed to completely loose all my fashion sense but, my child is always dressed for success! That girl has got it going on just look…
I’ve literally been stuck in Victoria secret sweats and leggings! I get dressed up maybe every other month (if that) for random functions but, I need to get my life together…seriously! I would atleast like to look as half as fashionable as my kid does. So, Im starting this “mom fashion” series with tips I learn a long the way for getting it together with a toddler on the loose! I’ve seen a bunch of these type of blogs out there but, none of them related to me at all so hopefully some of you find this useful.
Prior to becoming a mom, I was never caught dead without heels. In fact I have a room dedicated to shoes and Im being serious. One whole bedroom full of shoe racks and shoes I no longer wear but, swear one day I will. I will have to give you guys a tour but, right now it is full of her things of course. Mom life is way too busy for 8 inch heels and Im already 5’7 chasing her around in heels is just not fun and a bit awkward! So, I hung those up and switched to the Nike Dunk Sky Highs for everyday errands!
I feel like these shoes were made for me and technically, Im still wearing a heel! They are absolutely perfect for my style and people always stop me and ask where I got these from! Some of the styles are super hard to find and rare but, check the bottom of this post and my sidebar for some of my favorites! I’ve began to collect these, I love them that much! These olive green wedges go perfect with my favorite jacket from Hellz Bellz. I’ve had this jacket forever and wear it maybe once or twice a year. Being that I live in the Pacific Northwest, the extremely over sized hood covers my head and hers if need be LOL
Paired with my Hudson high waist jeans (which are super comfy to wear), and a simple white top I am ready for the day! I also cant forget about my Rebecca Minkoff bag! This is one of my favorite go to outfits for a busy day of errands or even lunch with a friend.
I’ve started to put my outfits together complete with shoes and accessories a few at a time and have them ready to grab & go for busy mornings! I started doing this for my daughter when she was first born and find it a LIFE SAVER to do it for myself too. I try really hard nowadays to get up atleast an hour before she does just so I can shower and get myself together for the day as well. Im a makeup hoarder and LOVE searching through youtube and trying new looks so I also find that doing my makeup before she is up is a big time saver too. Have you ever tried putting on mascara with a toddler hanging on to your leg…yea not so easy!
I hope you all enjoyed this look and don’t forget to check the widget below to shop things similar to this look!
