OMG I wish I would’ve known how to make these DIY Unicorn Horns years ago!!
These are the perfect accessory for a unicorn themed party and the kids definitely loved them too! They are so cute and simple to make with just a few things. Anyone can DIY these unicorn horns for a party or even a Halloween costume! My friend and I had fun making made these unicorn horns one night, it took just 10-15 mins to get 12 of these rolled out and in the oven ready to go. My friend was really good at getting them the perfect size so I just watched and took pics and decorated them the next day.
Things you’ll need:
Sculpting Clay – I used Sculpey Clay
Paint – I chose to use spray paint for the fast drying time
Fur Trim- I ordered mine on amazon of course!
Oven and cookie sheet (for baking the clay)
Knife for cutting clay
Cut off 2 even pieces of clay and roll out so the bottom is a little thicker than the top.
Twist the 2 pieces together
Place on baking sheet and bake according the instructions on the package. We baked ours at 350 degrees for 15 mins.
Paint or leave them plain if you want to, they look cool just like this. I wanted gold and blue unicorn horns so I chose to paint them.
After the paint dries, super glue them to headbands. I used 2 types of headbands for this DIY, plain plastic and then fabric covered. The fabric covered headbands were much easier to super glue the horns to.
Decorate with fur trim and your are done! This step can definitely be skipped, but look how cool they look with trim added =)
