Time for another DIY! Everyone loved these sequin letters I made for the Shimmer & Shine Party. So I had to do a sequin letters DIY.
These sequin letters are easy to make and a pretty cheap and quick way to make some more sparkle for your next party!
First, I have to share my weekend in Seattle. Whenever I think of vacations Im ready to pack something in a rolling suitcase and hope a plane. My boyfriend and I used to fly out on romantic vacations all the time pre baby but, its been a little more difficult to fit that in now that we are parents to a wild little toddler. So, we planned a short trip to Seattle this past weekend! We drove about 30 mins past Seattle to the beautiful Snoqualmie Falls first for a mini hike.
I was ready but, not without my starbucks! We ended up hiking down to the bottom. Its an easy short hike down but coming back up was a little different. The steep hills definitely gave me my work out of the day. So worth it though!
We spent the night in Seattle at the Four Seasons hotel. They had me at the roof top pool! The four seasons hotel is the ONLY hotel in Washington state with a rooftop infinity pool and cabana services so I was sold! After our hike, chilling out by the pool drinking margaritas, eating shrimp and crab sandwiches definitely was my idea of a getaway!
The hotel is so close to everything that we walked around all night and even made a stop at Pike Place Market at 12am and the Great Wheel right on the pier.
They have a “Coffee Concierge” service that a true coffee person will truly appreciate. I scheduled a 9am coffee delivery to my room and this was the best way to wake up. I really wish I could have kept this cute cup!
It was so fun to get away even just for a day! Now I feel refreshed and ready to have some more parties!
Today I am dropping off this simple little idea for party decorations. These sequin letters will work for your party decor and will last afterwards so you can hang up in the room too!
Things you’ll need
8 inch paper mache letters – I get mine at hobby lobby and stock up whenever they go on sale. You can also get them HERE on amazon
Start at one end of the letter and hot glue the end of the sequin down to start
Keep wrapping the sequin around the letters and gluing down the sequins. Its so simple! I didn’t bother with the tops of my letters but, to cover the top parts I would have just cut off a piece of trim and glued it down.
