This mermaid party I styled shot by, Kariba Photography turned out so pretty! I am in love with the different shades of purples and blues.
A mermaid themed party was on my list of parties I really wanted to try. I definitely had some fun coming up with unique and custom things for this one! Lots of fun DIY projects you can do for your own mermaid parties too. I have to start with the makeover I gave this clam shell pool. It was given to me by a friend and it was the coolest thing ever,I used a ton of glitter on this thing!
I posted a video DIY as I did this on instagram. It is so sparkly in person. I did 1 layer of modge podge and then sprinkled glitter all over it. Adding another layer of modge podge after a few hours will seal the glitter so none falls off. I added a pillow in the bottom part and covered with leftover satin fabric I had laying around and a blue sequin fabric on the ground to look like “water”. Every mermaid party needs this photo prop!
Another favorite part of this mermaid party was the handmade mermaid crowns I did. This is a fun DIY for just a rainy day and the shells and crowns can both be found at the $1 store! I had so much fun painting them. Each one was different and made perfect party favors for the kids.
I got paint happy and did this custom holder for the straws too and a few shells for the table centerpiece!
I finally was able to use these top selling cupcakes toppers from my etsy shop! I designed them last year for a customer and never have used them for one of my own parties. Get them here. Custom cupcakes and cake pops from Tiffany’s Cake Cakes!
These really cool twisty balloons worked perfect as “coral” for the mermaid party.
Custom made banner by me will be available in my etsy shop!
If you are a fan of “The Litter Mermaid” movie you will know why I included these “dingle hoppers” as sticks in the cake pops LOL I loved them!
I hope my mermaid party gave you some inspiration for your next under the sea or mermaid party. I had so much fun putting this together!
