I am so excited to be sharing Valentine’s Day Party DIY’s and ideas with you all this year! I teamed up with OrientalTrading.com to put together this adorable “Love Is Sweet” party, full of lots of cute Valentine’s Day party DIY’s and ideas for some sweet treats!
OrientalTrading.com had lots of options for cute Valentine’s Day tableware this year! I loved this pink and teal plate and napkin set.
I knew I wanted a tablecloth to match so, I did some DIY! These tablecloth projects are great because as long as you have a stencil you can do whatever you want. I made a time lapse of the process, and also have some more instructions from my flamingo party this past summer.
Oriental Trading had many cute options for party favors! Everything in the boxes as well as the box and rock candy stick are from their site!
This backdrop was my favorite thing ever! These convo hearts come in a pack and I just taped them together. You could easily cover a whole wall with these for an amazing larger Valentine’s Day party backdrop!
Giant balloon, heart cut outs and fringe tassle garlands are also from Oriental Trading. Rose Gold “Love Is Sweet” banner by me.
These were a really cute last minute party DIY to go with the theme! Just a balloon wrapped in cellophane and a paper towel roll secured with a rubber band.
and now to the SWEET part!
These are all delicious option for your Valentine’s Day parties!
These chocolate chip cookies are my favorite to make no matter time of the year it is. I always use this recipe from The Baking Chocolatess. This time I just exchanged 1 cup of chocolate chips for 1 cup of M&M’s.
I love making strawberry shortcake. I just made them much smaller to fit into these push pop containers. I think I will serve them this way from now on. Everybody makes their strawberry shortcake different but, you could do this with biscuits or cake.
Cake pops have always intimidated me but, these actually weren’t so hard to make!
1 box cake mix
2/3 cup cream cheese
cake pop sticks
I made the cake according to the instructions and let it cool down before putting it in my mixer with the cream cheese. Then I shaped them into balls and put them in the freezer for an hour before dipping them in chocolate. I know most people use a frosting instead of cream cheese but they tasted so good this way!! I also did this with a strawberry shortcake melted chocolate.
I hope my “Love is sweet” party theme gave you some sweet inspiration! Check out more ideas on my pinterest board!
