Coming up with fun unique DIY’s for every party is the best part about styling a party. Each party I try to come up with one really awesome thing people will love and remember! These DIY glitter party cups turned out to be AMAZING and will glam up any party theme! I wish I could drink out of theme every single day.
This month has been super busy over here. I have had parties back to back that have really been inspiring me to want to start taking bookings again in the fall! This Shimmer and Shine birthday party for my niece turned out so cute! I heard she was telling everyone she came in contact with, that her aunt was throwing her a cool party so, I had to really make sure she loved it!
I tried really REALLY hard to not use any glitter for this Shimmer and Shine birthday party and let me tell you, it was hard! I used a whole lot of sequin and tulle. I did sneak in a few random glitter things, I couldn’t help it lol. The party was held at Firs Golf Course , the staff there was very nice!
Judging by the smiles I think she loved her Shimmer and Shine birthday party! This is the tutu skirt from my last tutorial. Check it out here
A tutu table skirt quick way to make your party tables stand out! I love using them for girly princess parties! I was always intimidated by the idea of making a tutu table skirt but, they are super easy to do.
My very first one I did was for the How To Train Your Dragon themed party. It definitely gave it a more fun princess vibe! this skirt I decided to mix up colors and do shorter.
I made a longer tutu table skirt for the Unicorn Themed party which really made this party awesome.
I used this same one with for our Christmas party waffle bar, with a little less tulle and added light underneath it which, made everything really pretty!

You all may think I am crazy for already beginning the planning for my Halloween party in July but, all my friends and family know that Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday ever! Its an even bigger deal than my birthday! I don’t know what it is about Halloween. Growing up we didn’t do the costume thing or trick or treating but, my grandma always threw a “harvest party” on Halloween night and we always had so much fun. Now that Im an adult I go all out!
We are 104 days (11hrs & 55mins as I type this lol), I am so excited! It will be the first year that Aaliyah will be able to join in on the fun and kinda understand whats going on. So, I am going to do a classic themed kids party this year. Last years party was a bit different! We had a fun Halloween party for the adults and had so much fun! I aimed to make this house THAT house in my neighborhood. I wish I had more images of the actual outside decorations. Complete with life sized chicken wire ghost, whispering voices and fog so thick some people didn’t even make it down the driveway. When all you hear is screams all night down your driveway, I would say that is a mission accomplished!
Schools out, the weather is heating up and its officially time to break out the pink flamingos, beach balls & water guns! Time to start getting together those summer party ideas. My favorite party site OrientalTrading.com will be my one stop shop for all the summer party themed goods! The “ice cream” party I did last month using their products was such a hit with the kids (and grown ups!)
I cant wait to come up with more fun summer party ideas with their stuff. Everything is so cute and honestly they have items to fit just about every theme you can think of! Here are a few ideas for your summer parties!Read More
I had an AMAZING time Saturday night at the 1st Summer Networking Mixer & After Party! It was so much fun and, I am glad everyone had a great time! This was the biggest event I have been a part of and I was very very nervous. I knew I wanted to do something different for the Tacoma area but, you never know how the turn out is going to be until its all said and done. I went to Desean Willis local VIP event planner, manager extraordinaire with a vision and he made it happen! We had about 150 people walk through the doors, 15 vendors, several sponsors including Tiffany’s Cake Cakes, Ghost Dog Whiskey, Chambers Bay Distillery, Lakewood Ford and an outstanding host Ralph Porter and Northwest Icon Kun Luv.
One question I get asked the most by local people in the Tacoma area is, “What’s a good place to have a kids party in Tacoma?” There are lots more options out there besides Chucke Cheese and at reasonable prices too! Deciding on an actual place to have a kids party is probably the most difficult part of party planning. Choosing the right place can save you money if you find an option that includes food or has options for activities. So here is a list of 5 of my favorite places to have a kids party in Tacoma! I will update this list again towards the winter time. If you are local to the area and have some ideas feel free to drop them in the comments for others to check out!Read More
We threw my awesome best friend a surprise party over the weekend, I cant believe we actually managed to pull it off! She’s a really chill person so, I thought an intimate Bohemian themed hookah party complete with flower crowns was the perfect setup for her. Bohemian themed parties are really easy to put together quickly. The thing to remember is…nothing has to match really! We had tiki torches a fire pit and a taco bar set up inside. I chose some pretty tapestries I found on amazon to set the backdrop under the cabana. These tapestries were so pretty, I ordered several for the backdrop and also for the table and for people to sit on around the hookah table.
I knew I wanted lots and lots of candles and pretty things for the table, and like I said nothing matched! I went to goodwill and found so many cute candle holders and pretty jars to use. There were lots more around the cabana but, this is the table where the hookah was set up.
Today’s throwback “Rubber Duck Theme” pool party is from almost a year ago! This is when I was just getting things rolling. I wanted to put together an end of summer pool party for the kids but, it had to be super cool and something a little different. Who doesnt love rubber ducks? The rubber duck theme party is so cute and can be used for just about any occasion including a baby shower or birthday! I don’t have too many pictures from the party but I do have a few and one really amazing video shot by Tommy Stephens. He did such great job capturing all the kids having fun! Of course being in Washington state, our weather that day was unpredictable and cloudy but the kids still made the best of it, some still got in the pool, others got sugar high off all the sweets and having the real life little mermaid surprise them all made up for the weather!
I love my job!! It took awhile to get here but, I know its going somewhere! The best thing about party styling is all the fun I get to have with my mini. She gets so excited when she see’s me putting a party together. The preparation starts early usually so she is right there for the whole process. While setting up this last ice cream party she started chanting “Party! Party!”. She did it everywhere including, the grocery store when we went to pick up balloons. It makes me happy that her lifestyle includes partying all the time. Party, its what we do! I think every single party I have a picture of her trying to steal food from the treats table. The ice cream party was no exception!
