Just dropping off the first of many or these super easy 4 step DIY’s! Sharpie mugs are quick and easy gifts that require zero special skills! I picked up this ceramic coffee cup at the $1 store which is definitely one of my favorite stores in the whole world? There’s so much in there and nothing is ever what it seems, I just keep telling yourself that! I have purchased many items there and given them complete makeovers like this centerpiece below.
I used a candle stick holder, a tea light, glass, vase fillers and flowers all from the $1 store and they were so cute all lit up!
Ok on with the tutorial!
Coffee cup/mug (glass works for this project too!)
Sharpie paint markers in fun colors.
(I chose medium point markers. I Originally used a fine tip gold and did not like the outcome. I definitely think the medium point looks better, especially for the dot design.)
Heart shaped sticker.
(I used my cricut machine to cut a 3×3 heart)
Stick your heart sticker or cut out right in the center of the mug.
Decorate with your sharpie around the heart cut out. I started with one color all the way around and then went back and added the other color. I was a little conservative with the dots but I honestly, want to go back and add more. So get crazy with yours! Dot that thing up!!
Have your drink of choice, and wait for your creation to dry! I gave mine a good 10min of drying time.
Peel sticker and Ta-da!! So easy!
